The last pass three classes have been mind blowing. I'm
still trying to wrap my brain around everything that I have learned. The fact
that our eye's trick us is really crazy, makes me think of other things that have
nothing to deal with lights. We talked about incandescent light to LED and it
is awesome how technology has changing over the years. I feel like the changes
of lighting fixtures so far are great, but I do feel like we are going to get
to that point where it’s going to be too much if that make sense. Do you think
that we will get to that point where technology in lighting board and fixtures
is going to be too much and at one point it’s going to have to start regressing?
I just feel with all of this technology were going to get to the point, where
their will not be a need for as many stagehands or just people in general to
run a show.
Technology is just going to continue to go further so we need to embrace it but the thing that helps to keep it balanced is the designers eye and the designers needs to tell stories - it is overwhelming if we just look at it from the tech side but story telling is what drives us as artists and what defines how we use the tech
